Long Range Forecast: Below Average Cold

This time of year the long range winter predictions are coming in. The Weather Channel based on work by WSI (Weather Services International) has added theirs to the mix.  It looks like a cold start to our winter here in Dayton with much below average temperatures through January.  Does this mean a better chance of a White Christmas in the Miami Valley?

Aurora Seen as far south as Ohio

A very strong geomagnetic storm has resulted in very strong Aurora Borealis events. It has been seen as far south as Columbus, OH. Check the Ohio Photos! Pretty rare for the 'northern lights' to be seen this far south but pretty amazing nonetheless.

Terrific Tuesday on Tap

Warm and Sunny are the beat words to describe tomorrow's weather. Enjoy the warm temperatures because that's the last we'll see of temps in the 70s for the foreseeable future. The Dayton area will be lucky to break 60 any time within the 10 day long range forecast.

Rain Early then Clearing

A few claps of thunder rolled through the area this morning accompanied by some light rain. These early morning showers will give way to sun later this afternoon with a great chance for a spectacular sunset.

One Day and a Lot of Leaves Later

Raked lawns leave neighbors feeling happier.

Some Nice Days with a Wet Mid-Week

Today's sunshine will be close out a bit early with clouds moving in by this evening with a chance of rain moving into Monday.  Expect to see some rain and possibly accompanied with some thunder by mid week. Things should clear out for next weekend.  Temps should be above normal to start the week but moving cooler as the week progresses.
