Strong Storms to our South

While it's a bit dreary in and around the Dayton area to our south in Kentucky right now. We still have a potential for storms here as well. From the NWS:

A WARM FRONT WILL LIFT NORTH INTO THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON AND
TONIGHT. THIS FRONT WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.
THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME STORMS TO BECOME SEVERE OVERNIGHT.
DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL WILL BE THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER
THREATS.

And they are still looking for the potential of strong storms through the weekend.

Warming Up with Instability

Well after a nice weekend with the exception of some heavy rain later Sunday afternoon, this week will be a mixed bag. Warming temperatures throughout the week, with chances of rain varying trough the work week. All in all it doesn't look too bad a week shaping up. Dodge those afternoon/evening showers and enjoy!

Wake Up Thunder Boomer

Thunderstorms rolled through this morning providing areas with some heavy rains. The winds weren't not too bad at least in the Fairborn/Beavercreek area. The US Weather Service is calling for about 3/4" of new rain today with a decent chance of more thunder storms.

Deatils for the next few days.

Tornado Chasing: Goshen Co, Wyoming

A tornado is a awesome display of nature's power. I don't want to see one cruise through Dayton - or any other populated place. However, skipping over open ground it's pretty damn cool to see. Here are a couple of videos from this years batch of tornado chasers.
